It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Forbis Ballard Harrington, who left us on September 6, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on March 11, 1957, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, he spent his life cultivating not just crops, but also deep connections with nature and his beloved family. He was a son of the late Albert Jackson and Mary Viva Collins Harrington.

As a devoted farmer, he found joy in living off the land, nurturing it with the same care and dedication that defined his life. His love for agriculture was evident in everything he did, as he poured his heart into nurturing the earth and sharing its bounty with those around him. Forbis was a grounding presence, embodying the spirit of hard work and resilience that farming demands.

He is survived by his cherished sister, Marilyn King (Terry), and his two brothers, Franklin (Sandra) and Albert “Andy” Harrington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was a beloved brother and a steadfast friend, who always had a kind word or a helping hand to offer. His family meant the world to him, and he carried them in his heart every day.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. No formal visitation is planned.

Forbis Harrington will be lovingly remembered for his deep connections to his roots, his unwavering love for his family, and the warm spirit he shared with everyone whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, forever embraced by the land he cherished.
