It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Ray “Don” Fortescue, who left us on March 21, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on March 8, 1957, in Greenville, SC, Don was a lifelong resident of Liberty and was a son of the late Charles Dalton and Betty Norton Fortescue.
Don lived a simple life and had a fondness for the little pleasures—a pack of cigarettes and a juicy cheeseburger often made his day. He was a man who embraced his own pace of life.
He is survived by two nephews, Calvin Fortescue and Tim Fortescue.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam, Jerry, and Eddie.
Following cremation, Don’s remains will be laid to rest with his family at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
