Funeral services to celebrate Joan’s life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Joan Dalton Coleman, 67, of 710 Golden Creek Road, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her residence. Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late Samuel Bowen Dalton, Jr. and Flora Bell Ellenburg Dalton.
She retired from Redfern Health Center at Clemson University. Joan loved all animals and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are a brother, Roger Dalton of Liberty; three sisters, Carol Walters, Shirley Garrison, and Judy Brooks all of Liberty; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Samuel Chad Dalton, and her step mother, Frances Dalton.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Foothills Humane Society, 500 Five Forks Road, Liberty SC 29657.
The family will be at the home of Ricky and Judy Brooks, 7979 Moorefield Memorial Highway, Liberty SC 29657.
