Our cherished brother and son, Jefferey Scott Layman, 46, of Hunter Mill Road died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. Born in Owensboro, KY, he was a son of Billy Allen and Jewell Kelley Layman, Sr. of Liberty. He previously worked for Johnson Controls in Seneca. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing. He also attended Liberty United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Debra Brooks and her husband Mark of Easley; a brother, Billy Allen Layman, Jr. of Liberty; nephews, Kyle Layman, Nick Layman, Benjamin Brooks(Nancy) and Zachary Brooks; a great nephew, Colt Brooks; and his special friend, Dawn Elixson Moser.
He was predeceased by a nephew Jonathon Brooks.
