Funeral services to celebrate Janice’s life will be 2:00 PM Monday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:45 PM at the mortuary.
Janice Elaine Smith Owens, 45, of 439 Brandy Lane, died Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Pickens she was a daughter of Roy J. Smith and the late Sara Boggs Smith.
She was the general manager of Hardees in Central, and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and spending time with her children.
Surviving in addition to her father of Pickens are her husband, Franklin “Chris” Owens of the home; a daughter, Anna Owens of the home; three sons, Adam, Michael, and Hank Owens all of home; a step son, Jonathan Owens of Pickens; two brothers, Miles Smith of Liberty, and Michael Smith of Pickens; a grandson, Ben Owens.
