Dorothy Arleene Young Stangl, 87, of Dogwood Road, formerly of 4738 Gay St. Wichita Falls, TX, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Artesia, CA, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Grace Rubottom Young. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are daughters, Diane Rugraff(Earl) of Westminster, CA and Sharon Gilstrap(Sammie) of Pickens, SC; a step daughter, Rita Stangl of Germany; sons, William M. Roberts(Lynn) of Melbourne, AR and Richard Roberts(Leslie) of Olympia, WA; step sons, Fred and Tim Stangl both of Wichita Falls, TX and Greg Stangl of Austin TX; a brother, William Young of Sequim, WA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, William Marion Roberts; her second husband, Frederick “Casey” Stangl; a brother, Robert Young; and one grandchild.
Services will be held at a later date with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
