Doris Carter Murphree, 76, of 1757 Greenville Hwy. died Monday December 26, 2011 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens. Born in Greenville, she was the widow of the late Harold Dean Murphree, Sr. and a daughter of the late Ed and Lettie Lewis Carter. She was a homemaker and was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters Dana Herrin and Denise Bryant, both of Liberty; a son Harold Dean Murphree, Jr. of Liberty; two sisters, Louise Walker and Brenda Page, both of Greenville; and grandchildren, Timothy Bryant, T.J. Herrin and Abby Herrin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Carter; and a brother James Carter.
