Mrs. Barbara A. Rogers, age 82, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013.
She was born in Easley, South Carolina on February 16, 1931 to the late William “Guy” & Jennie (Griffin) Hood and married James Kenneth Rogers on August 26, 1950.
She was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Liberty, SC and enjoyed being with her friends in the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Mrs. Rogers had been a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly.
Surviving are two sons, Tony Rogers of Houghton, MI, Darren Rogers and his wife, Kimberly of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Griffin Rogers, Crawford Rogers; a brother, Charles Hood and his wife, Barbara of Edisto Island.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013, 2:00 PM in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Dr. Rick Lee. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private entombment will be held at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
