Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Bryant will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Austin Earl Bryant, 81, of 270 Flat Rock Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cateechee, he was a son of the late Clyde E. and Blanche Bryson Bryant.
He retired from Wagner Systers, and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Hamlin Bryant of the home; two daughters and sons in law, Kim and Terry Pierce of Lenoir City, TN, and Sherrie and James Walker of Dallas, TX; a son, Steven Bryant of Columbia; a sister, Thelma Jeffrey of Virginia; a brother, Jack Bryant of Norris; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will be at the home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice of South Carolina, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville SC 29615.
