Annie Lee Barkley

Funeral services to honor Mrs. Barkley’s life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Praters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Annie Lee Barkley, 84, of 950 Stewart Gin Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 09, 2013 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Easley she was the widow of Thurston Leon Barkley and a daughter of the late Leece and Irene Parrott Tant. She retired from the Pickens County School District where she worked as a custodian at R.C. Edwards Middle School, and was a member of Praters Creek Baptist Church.

She will be remembered fondly for her love of family and children.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Watson (Stan) of Liberty; three sons, Henry Barkley and Tim Barkley (Hope) all of Six Mile, and Larry Barkley of Pickens; a brother, Howard Tant of Easley; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a very special cousin, Connie Barkley.

The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Marti Pilgrim, 161 Nostaw Drive, Liberty SC.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca SC 29672.
