William Jackson “Jack” Rampey, 79, of 349 Jule Merck Road, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Richard Campbell VA Nursing Home in Anderson. Born in Easley he was a son of the late William Oscar and Geneva Crowe Rampey.
Mr. Rampey worked at Cateechee Mill and later retired from Alice Manufacturing, Eljean Plant. He was a longtime member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Herd Rampey of the home; two sons and daughters in law, Larry and Barbara Rampey, and Steve and Darlene Rampey all of Liberty; three sisters, Janice Dickard, Joan Dixon, and Judy Rampey; two brothers, Joe Rampey and Jimmy Rampey; four grandchildren, Katrina Moore, Shannon Gydesen, Dustin Rampey, and Colie Clardy; a great granddaughter, Karlyn Moore; step grandchildren, Meggie & Claudia Reynolds; step great grandchildren, Alex & Alexis Gydesen.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Rampey.
