David Patterson
Liberty, SC

Ted David Patterson, Jr., 70, of 279 Cherokee Drive, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Claudia Davis Patterson of the home and a son of the late Ted David Patterson, Sr. and Kate Runion Patterson.

David was a graduate of Limestone College and was retired from Duke Energy. David was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and especially loved spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Christy Oliver and her husband Randall of Liberty; a son, Jason Patterson and his wife Lisa of Liberty; a sister, Sharron McPeters of Gastonia, NC; and 4 grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Patterson, and Ryan and Nathan Oliver.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Burton and a brother, Larry William Patterson.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Patterson will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM in the sanctuary. Burial at Liberty Memorial Gardens will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 112 Liberty, SC 29657. The family will be at the home. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.libertymortuary.com
