Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Bowen will be held at Calumet Baptist Church, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM conducted by Reverend Jeffrey Harris and Reverend Gerald Martin. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Calumet Baptist Church. Private burial will be held at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Susan Rebecca Robinson Bowen, 73, of Black Bottom Road, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Liberty, she was the wife of Bernard Arthur Bowen for over 53 years and a daughter of the late James Victor “J.V.” and Edna Mildred Hunter Robinson. She was a caregiver and loved spending time with her family. She loved serving the Lord and was a 35 year member of Calumet Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served on many different committees.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Sonya Garrett(Trip) of Liberty; a son, Jeffrey Bowen(Mary Ann) of Pickens; a brother, Wayne Robinson of Pickens; a sister, Eugenia Tichenor of Seneca; and two grandchildren, Caleb and Marla Bowen both of Pickens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calumet Baptist Church Building Fund, 400 S. Peachtree Street Liberty, SC 29657.
