Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Garrison will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at Golden Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Shirley Swayngham Garrison, 72, of 410 Liberty Highway, died Friday, November 2, 2018 at her residence. Born in Liberty, she was the wife of David Milton Garrison, Sr. of the home and a daughter of the late Eugene Swayngham and the late Frances Howe and Samuel B. Dalton. She was retired from Clemson University and enjoyed spending her free time gardening and being with her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Golden Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Angela Nix(Kevin) of Liberty; a son, David M. Garrison, Jr.(Susan) of Liberty; a sister, Judy Brooks of Liberty; a brother, Roger Dalton of Liberty and 4 grandchildren, Trey Garrison, Cameron Garrison, Samuel Garrison and Sabrina Bryson.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 3 sisters, Carol Walters, Joan Coleman and Kathy Swayngham.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Golden Creek Baptist Church, 477 Golden Creek Road Liberty, SC 29657.
