Funeral services to honor Sammy’s life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the mortuary.
Sammy Edward Goodwin, 75, of 214 Paperbirch Lane, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Heartland Health & Rehab. Born in Louisville, GA he was a son of the late Walter and Lois Rowland Goodwin.
Mr. Goodwin retired from ThermoKing, and loved fishing and the outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie Ann McGaha Goodwin of the home; five daughters, Cathy Durham of Pickens, Shirl Cowart of Riddleville, GA, Ginger Hadden of Louisville, GA, Tammy Claxton of Davisboro, GA, and Betty Rachael of Charleston; a son, Donnie Goodwin of Pickens; also surviving are 12 grandchildren.
The family will be at the home of the son, Donnie Goodwin, 214 Paperbirch Lane, Pickens.
