Funeral services to honor the life of Pastor Scott will be held in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at the mortuary.
The livestream of his service will be available for viewing at 2:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2021 by visiting his obituary at www.libertymortuary.com Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and CDC guidelines, face coverings are recommended and social distancing will be observed. Maximum seating in the chapel will be limited to 50 people.
Pastor Thomas John “Tommy” Scott, Sr., 64, of Forest View Circle, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Lois Diana Murdock Scott and a son of the late Carlos Odell and Christina Nikatis Scott. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always eager to serve the Lord and tell others about Jesus and served as the pastor of The Church of Love and Truth for 10 years. He was also the Associate Pastor at The Dwelling Place in Asheville, NC.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Thomas John Scott, Jr.(Taelor) of Rock Hill and Christopher Neil Scott of Easley; two brothers, Stephen Carlos Scott, of Raleigh, NC, Carlos Odell Scott, Jr. of Piedmont; and six grandchildren, Christiahna, Bryson, Emma, Kaydence and Baelen Scott and Kaleigh Bourgoin.
