A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Nix will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Flat Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
Ralph David Nix, 77, passed away peacefully Monday morning at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Six Mile, he was the husband of Ida Whitlock Nix of the home and a son of the late Charlie and Mary Lois Nimmons Nix. Mr. Nix served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later retired from Vulcan Materials. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sisters, Mary Stansell of Easley, Julia Barker of Six Mile and Martha Gilstrap of Easley; a brother, Clif Nix of Liberty; several nieces and nephews; and a very special granddaughter, Jordan Noel.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 4 sisters, Frances Watson, Novella Gunnels, Annie Woody and Bobbie Hickey; and a brother, Charles Nix.
