Patsy Cooper Beukema

Memorial services to honor the life of Mrs. Beukema will be 3:00 PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at the mortuary.

Patsy Cooper Beukema, 82, of 201 Crestwood Drive, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Great Falls, South Carolina she was a daughter of the late Sidney Broadus and Neomi Robinson Cooper and the widow of Christian D. Beukema, Jr.

She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and Kings Business School in Charlotte. She was retired from Liberty High School and loved playing Bridge and reading. Mrs. Beukema was a longtime member of Liberty First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Jane Taylor(Edward) of Walhalla; a son, Chris Beukema of Easley; a granddaughter, Chrissy Fleming (Rick); and a great granddaughter, Taylor Ann Fleming.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a sister, Betty Cooper; and 2 brothers, Sidney and Calvin Cooper.

The family will be at the home. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements
