Memorial services to honor Pam’s life will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Gap Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
Pamela Garrett Rampey, 52, of 744 Kelly Mill Road, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Easley she was a daughter of the late John Garrett, Jr. and Helen Watson Abercrombie.
Pam graduated from Daniel High School and later received her B.A. in English from Furman University. She retired from S.C. Department of Social Services.
She was a member of Gap Hill Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Her greatest joys in life were her family and her church.
Surviving are her husband, Wesley Rampey of the home; two sons, Kendall Rampey and his wife Katie of Six Mile, and Chris Rampey of the home; a granddaughter, Jovie Rampey; two sisters in law, Cindy Garrett of Six Mile and Melinda Pressley of Seneca; also surviving is her adopted family the Whitman’s.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Garrett.
The family will be at the home of Dr. Boyce and Doris, Whitman, 733 Kelly Mill Road, Six Mile SC 29682.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Gap Hill Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 733 Kelly Mill Road, Six Mile SC 29682.
