Memorial services to honor Mr. Medlin’s life will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Gap Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
Otis Medlin, Jr., 67, of 183 Powder Mill Road, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Liberty he was a son of the late Otis, Sr. and Julie Riggins Medlin. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Gap Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Cater Medlin of the home; two daughters and sons in law, Joyce and Steven Thrift of Pickens, and Sylvia and Troy Bray of Six Mile; two sons and daughters in law, Otis and Tanya Medlin, and Tony and Christy Medlin all of Six Mile; a sister, Lorene Anthony of Six Mile; a brother, Alvin Medlin of Pickens; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Sue Medlin and a sister, Zelma Lee Medlin.
