Funeral services to honor the life of Miss Nellie Merck will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Liberty, SC.
Nellie Marie Merck, 94, of 200 Pennwood Lane, died Friday, May 19, 2017 at Heartland West Nursing Home in Greenville. Born in Liberty, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Emma Patterson Merck. She was retired from Dixie Packaging and a member of Wren Memorial Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Addie Martin, whom she had lived with for over 30 years; and 4 brothers, Leland, Joe, Horace and Sam Merck.
