Margaret Elaine “Susie” Lesley, 72, passed away May 10, 2021 in Greenville, South Carolina.

Known as “Susie” to close friends and family, Elaine was a daughter of the late Leroy and Willie Grace Lesley of Liberty.

She is survived by sister Alta Lesley Wilcox of Liberty, nieces Heidi (Bobby) Ravenscraft of Pickens and Melissa (Rami) Michael of Simpsonville. Elaine is also survived by great nieces Lesley Ann Ravenscraft, Claire Ravenscraft, and Lydia Michael as well as great nephew Paul Michael.

Aside from her family and her faith, Elaine was most proud of her years as a public-school educator at RC Edwards Middle School and Daniel High School. A lifelong English teacher, she helped countless students grow as readers and writers, even after her retirement.

She was a lifetime member of Golden Grove Wesleyan Church.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2021 at Golden Grove Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
