Terri Fowler

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terryl Leigh Fowler, cherished wife, mother, daughter, friend, and nature lover, who left us on December 3, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on December 19, 1968, in Easley, South Carolina, she carried the spirit of joy throughout her life, finding joy even amidst the challenges she faced.

She was a beacon of strength and resilience, spending the last three decades bravely battling health issues with a smile that could light up a room. Her spirit was as vibrant as the roses in her beloved garden, and her passion for nurturing plants was a reflection of her tender heart. She found solace in her garden, where she tended to her blooms, creating a sanctuary filled with beauty, color, and love.

She was a long time member of East Side Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 24 years, Jonathan Fowler; her loving parents, John “Poss” and Becky Bagwell; her son, Rev. John McGuire (Hannah); her daughter, Becca Staton (Harley); 6 grandchildren, Rose, Patrick, Philip, Conall, Declan, and Tidus; her step son, Shane McGuire. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and so many others that were instrumental in her life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. She exemplified compassion and kindness, always putting others before herself, and her laughter remains a cherished memory for those close to her.

The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at East Side Baptist Church. The family will greet with friends and relatives following the service.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Terri, let us remember the laughter, the flowers, and the unwavering spirit she displayed each and every day. May her light continue to shine brightly in our hearts and guide us as we navigate our own journeys.

I’m so sorry to hear of sweet Terry Lou passing as I lovingly called her for the years I had the privilege to be her nurse at dialysis in Easley as well as in Pendleton. She was a very special person and her laugh was contagious. I will truly will miss her. She brought joy to many people. My prayers are with the family that she loved so much and was always talking about. Deepest condolences.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Terri. Becky and I were best friends in high school and I remember when Terri was born. My sincere sympathy goes out to Poss, Becca, John, and grandchildren.

I am blessed to have known Terri, who I met through our children & church. Always a ray of joy, even when times were not so good, she continually uplifted others, I am praying for her family and pray we all keep a bit of her radiant joy in our hearts when we think of her, now celebrating with Jesus for all eternity!

My prayers are with her family.Terri has fault for her life for a long time.She will truely be missed and loved.

Jonathan and family, Please know that I am praying for you all. I have a wonderful memory of Terri from when we went on our mission trip to Puerto Rico. One evening we were all in the van riding around site seeing and we were out near the beach and there were no street lights around and Terri said, " Man when it's dark, it's dark." We all had a good laugh. Since then when I am outside at night and there aren't any other light sources around and I think about how dark it is, I always think of Terri.
