Graveside services to honor the life of Mrs. Morgan will be held at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
Ruby Kathryn Willis Morgan, 93, of Five Forks Road died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Liberty, she was the widow of Calvin Paul Morgan and a daughter of the late Henry and Addie Smith Willis. She retired from ECP and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Paulette “Polly” Hughes(Sam) of Fort Mead, FL and Jean Bagwell(Ricky) of Liberty; two sons, Allen Morgan and Jerry Morgan(Linda Dodd) both of Liberty; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Frances “Tootsie” Melton, Una Hughes, Gaynell Julian and Betty Marcengill; two brothers, John and Earl Willis; and two grandchildren, Corey Hughes and Daniel Massingale.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to the Pickens County Humane Society.

Ruby was a wonderful neighbor and friend to me and all my family for about 70 years. We loved her dearly. She was my Mama’s best friend. She loved my cooking, especially the desserts. I tried to fatten her up, but try as I might, she couldn’t get above 85 lbs. I will miss her sorely. Prayers for all her family, Polly, Jean, Allen and Jerry.

Ruby was the wife of my late mother’s first cousin, Paul. My mother loved Ruby and enjoyed her company. I loved Ruby and enjoyed her company, too. I do not know of anyone who did not love her. There are few people in this world who were as caring, thoughtful, and compassionate as Ruby. She nurtured and helped raise so many young people. She also had a wonderful sense of humor. She was full of life and it was a joy to be with her. I will miss her and so will everyone who ever knew her.
