Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Taylor will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 19, 2021 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 18, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00PM at the mortuary. Burial will be 2:00 PM Friday at M.J. Margaret Wood Taylor, 74, of 1244 Rabun Church Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her home. Born in Oconee County she was a daughter of the late Julian LT and Lilian Nix Wood.

She retired from Alice Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Taylor of the home; a daughter, Melissa Jane Sanford Smith (Bryan) of Liberty; 3 grandchildren, Jaimie Smith Brunner (Tim) of Easley, Jason Ross Smith (Chelsea) of Anderson, Rylee Marie Medlin of Liberty; 5 great-grandchildren, Kira, Greyson, Kassi, Blakely, and Nora; Step-children; John Taylor (Kesha), James Taylor, Jason Taylor, Jamie Taylor, and Jennifer Taylor; 4 brothers; Gary Wood (Earlene), LT Wood (Brenda), Randy Wood (Jeanette), and Andrew Wood; 2 sisters; Linda Gentry (Randy), Evelyn Sanders (Clayton) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Wood, Clyde Wood, and Mack Wood.
