Mae Bell Baldwin, 91, of Liberty, South Carolina, went to be with her savior the Lord Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, January 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Seneca September 25, 1929, she was the widow of W.C. “Dub” Baldwin, Jr. and a daughter of the late Clarence Oswald and Clara Jane Wilson Cater.
She retired from Sangamo and was a member of Easley Church of God.
She was a wonderful Christian mother of three sons, Norman Baldwin (Sue), Fred Baldwin (Rachel), and Wayne Baldwin all of Liberty; a daughter, Sheila Gillespie (Benny) of Anderson; 7 grandchildren, Keith Gillespie, Maria Haskett, Douglas Baldwin, Miranda Wimpey, Erica Wells, Aaron Baldwin, and Travis Baldwin; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; also surviving is a special niece, Carolyn White of Liberty.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Virginia Cater, and three brothers, Erby, Woodrow, and Davis Cater, and a daughter in law, Sandra Baldwin.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Easley Church of God fund for the Church of God’s Home For Children, PO Box 443, Easley SC 29641.
The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregivers, Ariel Rainwater, Krista Boozer Counts, Gabbie Siegler, Amber Wilson, Rosie Smith, Gail Smith, and Providence Care Hospice. We would also like to thank Diane Howes, Mae’s special friend who visited every week, and Janice Collins who visited and always had an encouraging word for her.
