Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Brown will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Private burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the mortuary.

Edith Fincannon Brown, 84, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Central, she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Mary Carnes Fincannon.

She was a homemaker and attended Galilee Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Jerry Brown of the home; 2 sons, Rick Brown (Jan) of Liberty, and Randy Brown (Tracy) of Easley; a sister, Hazel Thomas of Easley; two grandchildren, Matthew Brown (Robin) and Melanie Atkins (Dustin); 4 great grandchildren, Isabella, Harrison, Everett, and Mary Parker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Brown, two sisters, Evelyn Fincannon and Ruth Summerall, and two brothers, Ralph and Bady Fincannon.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Galilee Baptist Church, 123 Galilee Church Road, Easley SC 29642.

The family will be at the home of Rick and Jan Brown, 198 Holcombe Drive, Liberty SC 29657.
