Christy Loretta Turner, 53, a beloved caregiver, devoted wife, mother, and spirited friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born on August 4, 1971, in Easley, South Carolina, she was the daughter to Brenda Gayle Marcus McDowell and the late Charles Whitaker. Christy lived her life with a warm heart and an infectious smile that brightened the lives of everyone who crossed her path.

Christy was a very Godly woman and remarkable soul, always putting others first and dedicating her time to those in need. Whether volunteering her time at Golden Creek Baptist Church or lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors, she never met a stranger. Her love for working with children at church brought her immense joy, and it was clear to all how much she treasured those little moments.

She had a passion for horses, loved to watch them and wanted to pet them every chance that she had to get close enough.

Christmas was Christy’s favorite time of year. She found pure delight in the holiday spirit, from decorating her home to watching cheesy Hallmark movies that filled her heart with joy. A talented cook and baker, Christy enjoyed whipping up goodies that delighted family and friends, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

In addition to her mother she leaves behind her loving husband, Kevin Turner; her sons, Brandon and Jesse Campbell; and her brothers, Joey and Allen Whitaker. Christy’s loving spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Let us come together to celebrate the beautiful life of Christy Loretta Turner, a shining light in our lives who touched hearts with love and compassion. This Celebration of Life service will be hosted by the family from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Golden Creek Baptist Church in Liberty on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
