Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Melton will be conducted 11:30 AM Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 6:30 PM at the mortuary.

Barbara Ross “Bobbie” Melton, 78, of Liberty, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Six Mile she was a daughter of the late John and Lillie Matoy Ross.

She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of Rices Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Bonny Melton of the home; a son, Jamey Melton (Lisa) of Liberty; two daughters, Lynn Dingwell (Terry) of Liberty, and Lori Harrelson (Richard) of Easley; two sisters, Pug Smith and Ella Kelley both of Liberty; three brothers, Bo Ross, Andy Ross, and Nub Ross; four grandchildren, Lilly Melton, Griffin Capobianco, Isabelle Capobianco, and Andrew Melton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Lackey and Mary Jane Turner.
