Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. McWhorter will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
Teddy Wayne McWhorter, 78, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at his home. Born in Anderson he was the widower of Evelyn McWhorter and a son of the late Jesse E. and Olivia Burgess McWhorter.
Mr. McWhorter worked all his life in textiles and was a longtime member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Angela Abercrombie of Greenville, and Melissa Gilbert (Tracy) of Liberty; four grandchildren, Kyle Parris, David Bradshaw, Olivia Gilbert, and Bailey Gilbert; also surviving are two great grandchildren, Mason Parris and Aspen Bradshaw.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and was the last surviving member of his family.
The family will be at the home.
