John Mark Szarawarski
Liberty, SC
We celebrate the life of John Mark Szarawarski, who journeyed on from this world on October 27, 2025. Born on November 17, 1958, in Hackensack, NJ, he was a son of the late Bruno and Gizele Corbin Szarawarski. John grew into a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. He spent his years crafting beautiful structures as a self-employed contractor and later contributing his talents at Classic Conservatories in New Jersey for an impressive 26 years. For the past 18 years, John enjoyed life with his soul mate, Nicole Smith, and created countless adventures and fond memories together.
John’s passion for woodworking was just one of the many facets of his creative spirit. He had a love for the outdoors that was infectious-whether hiking rugged trails or biking through scenic routes, he embraced nature with open arms. An avid traveler, John adored both the mountains and the beach, always ready for the next adventure.
His love for the arts radiated through his soul, especially when it came to music. A talented musician, John could play any stringed instrument with ease but held a special affection for his acoustic guitar. He often found joy in attending music events, particularly those celebrating blues and bluegrass.
Above all, John’s heart was big enough to welcome every creature around him. His fondness for animals mirrored the warmth and kindness he shared with everyone lucky enough to know him.
In addition to his loving partner in life, Nicole, John is survived by his three sisters, Marie Quinn, Louise Bogert, and Anne Bzik, who will carry forward his legacy of love and creativity.
Join us as we remember the laughter, the melodies, and the adventures he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will resonate in the songs he played and the love he shared.
