Services to celebrate the life of John Ed will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, August 9, 2021, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the mortuary.

John Edward Youngblood, 86, of Pickens, SC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Walhalla, he was the widower of Frances Jordan Youngblood and a son of the late Joseph E. and Lila Walt Youngblood.

John Ed retired from Ryobi Corporation with 44 years of service. He was a member of Glassy Mountain Baptist Church. He loved fishing, boating, and hunting.

Surviving are two daughters, Diana Stone (Dale) and Kaye Golden (Brian) both of Pickens; two sons, Mark Youngblood (Debra) of Kingston, TN and Eddie Youngblood (Amanda) of Westminster; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alan K. Youngblood, a grandson, Jason Corey Stone, and two sisters, Aileen Williams and Carolyn Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Glassy Mountain Baptist Church, 1103 Farrs Bridge Road, Pickens SC 29671.

The family will be at their respective homes.
