The family will host a gathering Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Lavonia Motor Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia.
Jody Lee Palmer, 52, of Seneca, South Carolina, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Clifton “Don” Palmer.
He graduated from DW Daniel High School in 1988, and later Tri County Technical College. He was the owner/operator of Tri-County Security. He was a member of Newspring Church in Clemson.
Jody was a United States Army National Guard veteran with 8 years of service.
His life revolved around his family, especially watching his son Cole race. He loved to go to hockey games and promote the Lavonia Speedway. He was a Clemson Tiger fan through and through. Jody had an infectious smile and would do anything for anyone.
Surviving are his wife, Stacey Palmer of the home; a son, Cole “Coletrain” Palmer; his mother, Diane Palmer of Six Mile; his father and mother in law, Gerald and Cathy Powell of Walhalla; also surviving is his dog, Bella.
