Hugh Stanley McLean, 81, of Honea Path, South Carolina, died Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rosman, he was a son of the late Luney and Adgie Anders Ball.
Hugh was a Correction Officer for the State of North Carolina for 35 years. He loved to write songs and play the autoharp.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Becky McLean of the home; a son, Terry Hendricks (Jamie) of Honea Path; a sister, Thelma Nichols of Liberty; 3 grandchildren, Marilyn Mae Carter, Amber Satterwhite, and Kyle McGaha; two greatgrandchildren, Kyleigh and Rowan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Emory McLean.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
