Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr Chapman will be conducted 4:00PM Friday, April 1, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.

 

Gary R. Chapman, 65, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital after a brief illness.

 

Born in Seneca he was a son of the late Mark and Mary Crocker Chapman. He was the owner/operator of Carolina Environmental Consultants. He was a member of Liberty Church of God and represented the values of Christ.

 

We could talk for days describing Gary but to sum up his life and personality we would say he loved his family and there was never a dull moment with him around.  He had a contagious laugh, and always brought a smile to everyone he encountered.

 

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Debra Chapman of the home; a son, Cole Chapman (Marissa) of Central; two daughters, Andrea Chapman of Charleston, and Ciji Runge (Matt) of Greenville; a brother, Roger Chapman (Debbie) of Pendleton; seven grandchildren, Ava Runge, Alston Chapman, Ellie Runge, Triston Long, Aden Long, Riggs Chapman, and Hudson Chapman.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julianna Blake Chapman.

 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Liberty Church of God for the Gary Chapman memorial fund through Venmo @LCOG-giving or to P.O Box 643. All donations given to the church in honor of the memorial fund will go to the family to aide in medical costs.
