Funeral services to honor Ernest’s life will be conducted 12:00PM Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Golden Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 untl 6:30 PM at the mortuary.

 

Ernest George Dodgens, 80, of 556 Golden Creek Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital.

 

Born in Six Mile he was a son of the late Rufus and Sara Kelley Dodgens.

 

Surviving are a special nephew, Paul Dodgins and his wife Peggy of the home; a sister, Margaret Perry of Liberty; a brother, James Dodgens of Seneca; also surviving are many other nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
