Allen Zorn
Liberty, SC
It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Cecil Allen Zorn, who departed this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 18, 1951, in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Cecil B. and Viola Atkins Zorn.
He dedicated many years of his life to his work as a Lead Painter at Greenville Technical College, where his craftsmanship and dedication made a lasting impact. In addition to his work in education, he was a man of many passions. An animal lover with a remarkable talent for cooking, he had a knack for bringing people together around a delicious meal. Music resonated deeply within him, and he often shared his love for performing, delighting family and friends alike.
Beyond his professional pursuits, he found joy in sports. For over two decades, he generously volunteered his time as a referee for basketball, football, and baseball, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for traveling and soaking up the sun at the beach.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Renee Teat Zorn; a son, Chris Zorn, and a daughter, Pam Zorn; one grandson, Taylor Zorn; the mother of his two children, Kathy Zorn. Also surviving are three special cousins, Susan Welborn, Jane Austin, Paige Wood, and a special friend, Terri Pate.
