Carl Burrell
Easley, SC
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Burrell, who left us peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 75.
Born on May 23, 1949 in Seneca, he was the widower of Kathy Ann Durham Burrell and a son of the late Dover and Mae Crane Burrell. He dedicated many years of his life as a lineman with Combined Utilities, proudly serving the community.
He was a long-time member of the West End Baptist Church and had more recently found a home with the warm and welcoming congregation at Potters Clay Fellowship. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart and easy-going nature. He found joy in the simple things in life, often seen sitting on his porch with a cup of coffee, soaking in the morning sun. He had a special fondness for western movies, which brought him much comfort and entertainment.
Carl is survived by his loving daughter, Amy Brooks (Travis); his sons, Brad Burrell (Jackie) and Justin Burrell; his brother, Charlie Burrell; also surviving are five grandchildren, Katelyn Gentes (David), Dillon Bryson, Noah Brooks, Emma Brooks, and Ashlyn Burrell; two great grandchildren, Noah and Harper.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Fran and Lillie.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at West End Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
