Lucille Avanel Barrett Evatt, 92, of 951 Norris Hwy. died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her residence. Born in Cateechee she was the widow of Harold Whiteman Evatt and a daughter of the late Raymond George and Olie Mae Medlock Barrett. She was retired from Cateechee Mills and loved crocheting and working in her yard. She attended Cateechee Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Simpson(James) of Norris; and a grandson, Jeffrey Naderi(Natasha) of Cross Hill.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by 3 sisters, Rosa Lee Pilgrm, Aileen Gaines and Nettie Mae Rollins; 2 brothers, George Barrett and Rev. Frank Barrett.
