Lindsay James Davis, 89, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Richard M. Campbell Veteran’s Nursing Home in Anderson. Born in Greenville, he was the widower of Nancy Sue Gillespie Davis and the son of the late Robert Fulton and Mildred Ruth Drice Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII. Following his service in the Navy he served 8 years in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge #235 A.F.M. and the Hejaz Shriners. He and his wife were the former owners of Old Market Antiques in Pickens. He was a member of Easley Church of God.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Beverly Derrick of Easley and Janet Dunn(Lynn) of Piedmont; a sister, Margaret L. Thrasher of Pickens, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara White and a brother, Edward L. Davis.
