Kay Mooneyham- Allen

Funeral services to honor Kay’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Kay Mooneyham-Allen, 53, went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Pickens County she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. & Leona Patterson Mooneyham. She was a member of East Pickens Baptist Church and was a graduate of Clemson University. She formerly worked for Greenville Hospital Systems as an accountant, and prior to that, she worked for a CPA Firm in Hilton Head, SC.

Kay was a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a grandma and a friend. She loved the outdoors, gardening, shooting pool, and spending time with family & friends. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are a son, Michael Lee Allen of Pickens; a sister, Patricia M. Welborn (Pat) of Pickens; a brother, Joseph Michael Mooneyham (Eloise) of Seneca; a grandson, Isaiah Hamby-Allen; two nieces, Kaycee Collins of Charleston, and Kelley Welborn of Pickens; a nephew, Kevin Welborn of Easley.
