Kathy Smith Burgess

Graveside services for Mrs. Burgess will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary.

Kathy Smith Burgess, 50, of 327 Burgess Road, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 14, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Easley, she was the wife of Stephen Burgess and a daughter of the late James Franklin and Alma Montez Stancil Smith. She was a cat lover and loved canoeing and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Tiffany Burgess of the home; sisters, Anna Smith and Holly Young of Easley; brothers, Randall, Robbie, Joey and Franklin Smith, all of Easley; Nieces, Andrea Smith-Roper of Pickens and Briley Smith of Easley; and a great niece, Ava Lewis of Pickens.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Allen Smith; and a niece, “Claire Bear.”
