Junior Leroy “Goon” Edmond, 77, of 201 Old Sheriff Road, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Pickens he was the widow of Sybil Avanell Edmond and a son of the late Arthur and Ella Phillips Edmond.
He worked as an auto mechanic for many years.
Surviving are five daughters, Louise Granger of Liberty, Martha Evans and Paula Davis both of Central, Donna Granger of Liberty, and Robin Edmond of Pickens; a son, Jerry Edmond of Central; 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Dyer, and a son, Tommy Edmond.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the mortuary.
