Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Rhodes will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.
Julia Rackley Rhodes, 80, of 407 Old Norris Road, widow of William Martin Rhodes, Sr., died Sunday, May 8, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Oconee County she was a daughter of the late Peter and Dora Moore Rackley.
She enjoyed doing puzzles and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, and sons in law, Shirley and Dale Holder, and Sarah and Harold Morrison all of Liberty; two sons, and daughters in law, Stanley and Linda Rhodes of Liberty, and Buster and Amy Rhodes of Pickens; a sister, Dorothy Simmons of Liberty; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rachel Ann Rhodes, 3 brothers, and a sister.
