Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Owens will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2020 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the mortuary.

Kaye Downey Owens, 64, of Liberty, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Ovie Bryant Downey.

She retired from Clemson Downs and was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church. Kaye loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Natasha Matthews and her husband Madison of Cedartown, GA; her daughter in law, Shawna Owens of Liberty; a brother, Kevin Crawford; four grandchildren, Kaily and Emily Matthews, and Kennedy and Campbell Owens; also surviving are two special nieces, Jenny Barrett and Sharon Brown.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Josh and Zach Owens, and a sister, Carole McCullough.
