Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Greene will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2020 at Golden Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary. Seating for the service will be limited and masks are required.

John Wesley Greene, 74, of Pickens, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was a member of Golden Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Roberts Greene of the home; also surviving are several children, siblings, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Golden Creek Baptist Church, Youth Fund, PO Box 479, Liberty SC 29657.

I will always remember your prayers as you “thanked Jesus for saving your old wretched soul” as you described it. We all should be as humble. I will miss you sitting in your place at Church. Dear Nancy: We are so very sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. He was a dear and cherished friend. The four of us had some good times going out to eat and on vacations together. It is good memories we will always remember. He was a good christian man whom we enjoyed talking with about the Lord. There is no doubt that he is with his Lord and Savior now.
