Joel Grady Hughes, Jr., 93, of 16 Torrey Pines Court and former longtime resident of Liberty, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg. Born in Pickens he was the widower of Angie Ellenburg Hughes and he was the son of the late Joel G. and Delenia Ellis Hughes, Sr. He was the former co-owner of T.E. Jones & Sons Furniture Co. for 39 years and a member of Liberty First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Gail Allen of Spartanburg; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. The family will be at their respective homes. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements.
