Jeri Cook was my only sister. She was the rock of her family, She raised 4 children alone after her husband past away at an early age. She was a strong Christian and made sure that her children were in church. She was the first to a home where there was illness or a death. She was very active in her church and will be missed. Prayers for her family.

Dear Cook family, My heart is heavy for your loss. Miss Jeri was such a beautiful soul. She was always smiling and just as sweet as could be. No words can give you the comfort you need right now, but please lean on God as He is the only one who can tenderly comfort your grieving heart. My prayers have been with you since I read John's post about her falling, and I will continue to pray for the entire family as you go through this journey. Hugs!! Kelley Whitlock Norwine, LHS '79

Debbie Cook left a message on September 25, 2017:
I remember when Aunt Jeri married Uncle Marion. I did not attend the wedding, but recall that they spent their honeymoon in Niagra Falls - a popular destination for newly weds. On their way home, they stopped in VA to visit my family and they brought me (and I assume my siblings!) a souvenir from Niagra Falls that I treasured for years. Later, on family trips to SC, it was always a favorite destination to get to visit Uncle Marion and Aunt Jeri's house.
