James Curtis “Jim” Pace, Sr.

Graveside services with military honors to honor the life of Mr. Pace will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM conducted by Mr. Fred McWhorter. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary.
James Curtis Pace, Sr., 71, of Issaqueena Trail, died Friday, September 17, 2021 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born in Easley, he was the husband of Sherri Coker Pace and a son of the late Don James and Bobbie Suszczynski Pace. He was a 1967 graduate of Pickens High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. After Vietnam he served three years in Germany. He loved spending time with his family. Jim was very quick witted and loved a good joke. He enjoyed fishing, racing, photography and being outdoors. He was a member of the NRA and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Taylor White of the home and Amanda White, of Anderson; four sons, James Curtis “Jim” Pace, Jr. of Easley, Travis and Tyler White of the home, and Brian Owens of Anderson; a brother, Doug Pace(Peggy) of Pickens; two sisters, Eleanor Holiday(Rabon) of Easley and Linda Matthews(Tommy) of Easley; three grandchildren, Ariel Pace, Kierston Pace and Chase Beebe; his mother-in-law, Gail Coker Boyd; and many other beloved extended family members.
The family will be at their respective homes.
