Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Johnson will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at the mortuary.

Gladys Cooper Johnson, 93, of 935 Anderson Drive, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born in Liberty she was the widow of Carl Lee Johnson and a daughter of the late Jeff and Viola Alexander Cooper.

She retired from Singer and was a member of Calumet Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sisters, Lillian Odom, Betty Bowman, Shelba Owen, and Faye Suddeth all of Liberty; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ophelia “Johnie” Cooper and Jeffie Jones, and three brothers, Lloyd, Robert “Bob”, and Floyd Cooper.
